The EarthCARE Validation Campaign in Thessaloniki!
From April 22 to May 22, 2025, three coordinated sites (Urban – Kedek, Semi-urban – AUTH campus, Rural – Epanomi) are aligned with satellite overpasses.
We’re through one of Europe’s most exciting atmospheric science campaigns – and the skies over Thessaloniki are buzzing with instruments, sensors, and satellite overpasses!

Validate EarthCARE satellite products (aerosols & clouds)
Analyze solar radiation variability across different environments
Test & compare low-cost and handheld instruments
